The session kicks off with a short introduction to core bushcraft principles before diving into a series of interactive activities. You’ll start by building your own survival shelter using tarps, poles, cord, pegs and mallets, with a demo to guide you through the basics. Once your structure is complete, you’ll take it down so others can have a go.
Next up is fire lighting, with small groups learning safe techniques using natural materials. As the session progresses, we’ll explore foraging and water purification, with pre-foraged samples to examine and examples of how to filter and purify water in the wild.
We’ll round things off with a simple, practical first aid activity and tips on how to signal for help in an emergency – essential knowledge that could make all the difference in a real-life situation.This is a lively, fast-paced session where time will fly – perfect for adventurous souls of all ages who love getting stuck in and learning new skills.
