Arrival and Departure
ARRIVING AT THE FESTIVAL
Festival gates will open at midday on Friday 14th August. Please arrive anytime from midday onwards but no earlier.
Workshops will kick off at 2pm and programmed music will start at 5pm. We recommend that campers give themselves plenty of time to get set up and settled in before the music kicks off.
If you are arriving on Saturday, please arrive anytime from 10am onwards. Music will start at midday.
Arriving by car:
If you are arriving by car, free parking is available via Gate A on York Road. Approaching from the York direction, Gate A is on the right, 0.5 miles before you reach the village of Sutton-on-the-Forest. To navigate to the exact location, you can use the What3Words app with the reference quicksand.forces.lance.
We will be checking on tickets on arrival, so please make sure you've got yours ready.
Arriving on foot, bike or public transport:
Sustainability is an important part of our ethos and we encourage you to travel by public transport, or on foot or by bike if possible.
For anyone arriving on foot, bike or public transport, we recommend entering the site via Gate B, which is the main entrance for Sutton Park, off Main Street. Follow signs for Sutton Park and Miss Daisy's Tea Rooms. The What3Words reference is under.instincts.trifle.
The site can be reached from York Railway Station via the no. 40 bus. It is just a 25 minute journey to Sutton-on-the-Forest Primary School bus stop and a 1 minute walk to the festival gate. We recommend checking the timetable carefully, as buses do not run late, so if you aren't camping, we suggest booking a taxi to leave the site.
If you are arriving by bicycle, please note that there is no designated or covered bike parking area, however there are fences on site where bicycles can be securely locked. Please bring a good-quality lock, as bikes are left at owners’ risk.
LEAVING THE FESTIVAL
Programmed music will finish at midnight on Friday and on Saturday. All day ticket holders will be expected to leave the site by 1.30am. Please make sure that you do this as swiftly and quietly as possible, to ensure that the festival does not disturb any residents of Sutton-on-the-Forest.
If you have booked a Friday ticket with a camping pass, please leave the site by 11am on Saturday morning.
If you will be leaving the site by taxi, please make sure you book in advance to avoid delays.
All campers must leave the festival site by midday on Sunday. Please make sure when you leave the site that you do not leave any rubbish behind.
