Nomad Macrame

Ashley started Nomad Macrame in April 2019 having taught herself macrame the previous year.

What began as a hobby, quickly turned life into something new and encouraged her slowly back into the world, following several health battles, the worst being Guillain Barre Syndrome. She was temporarily paralysed with this nervous system condition, in hospital for months, and almost lost the ability to communicate. Recovering from this condition has been a long road, she still struggles with chronic illness, pain and fatigue. However, life is now a place of happiness, freedom, exploration and the enjoyment of having this craft as her work. Knotting is Ashle's love and therapy and she hopes to continue this journey for many, many years.
